About me

Hi! My name is Brian Lin and I've been a designer for over 22 years now. About half of that was as an Art Director in digital marketing for entertainment clients, and the second half as a UX/UI designer mainly focused on the financial sector.

I have a degree in Psychology from UCLA which helps inform my design work much more than you'd think, as well as a certificate in Design Thinking & Innovation from the Darden School of Business.

In the past I've co-founded a small design studio and helped it thrive as its Creative Director, ran my own mobile app development company, and even did a stint as a Flash Developer for several years.

Most recently, I worked at Capital Group, a financial company, for about 10 years as a Senior Visual Designer and then Experience Design Lead. After COVID hit and a bit of soul searching, I left to pursue a different sector, working for the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute, which focuses on Parkinson's and Alzheimer's research.

I live in Pasadena, California with my wife. Outside of work I enjoy music-related hobbies, including badly singing and badly playing guitar and drums.
